Dr. David Myhre

Dr. Myhre’s journey has taken him across the globe, growing up as the child of an Army soldier. From Arizona to various military installations in the U.S., Asia, and Europe, he has experienced different cultures and perspectives. Now he proudly calls Austin, his home.

Dr. Myhre’s educational achievements reflect his dedication to excellence. He earned a bachelor’s degree in human factors engineering from the United States Air Force Academy, followed by 12 years of service as an Air Force officer. The pursuit of a dental career led him to The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he graduated with cum laude and received his DDS. In 2010, he was honored with the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Restorative Dentistry.

Continuing his pursuit of knowledge, Dr. Myhre completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in San Diego, CA, where he graduated as the top resident. He then served as a general dentist in the U.S. Navy for five years. In recognition of his exceptional clinical skills and dedication, he was named Clinician of the Year at the Naval Health Clinic Annapolis, located at the US Naval Academy in 2014.

Dr. Myhre is a member of professional dental organizations such as the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. These affiliations reflect his commitment to staying abreast of the latest advancements in dentistry and delivering the highest standard of care to his patients.

Dr. Myhre has volunteered his time at the San Antonio Christian Dental Clinic, providing dental care to homeless and underserved residents and has participated in a dental mission trip to Piedras Negras, Mexico. When he’s not at work, he enjoys playing golf, exploring new destinations, and embracing his passion for woodworking with DIY projects.
