Dr. Lowery devotes many hours to community service. She is a past board member of the Cedar Park Regional Medical Center Healthy Woman Program and a charter member of the Austin-Lakeline Rotary Club. Her volunteer activities include Give Back A Smile, Samaritan Health Ministries Dental Wipe-Out, Operation Blue Santa, and the Central Texas Food Bank Bank. She also served on a dental mission trip to Piedras Negras, Mexico.
