When you come in for your initial visit with us for your dental cleaning and exam, you can expect us to roll out the red carpet for you. Your hygienist will take a complete set of digital X-rays along with intraoral photos we can keep in your file to refer back to. We’ll also complete a full dental history, giving us a solid picture of your oral health.
During your semi-annual exam, we’ll check for cavities, oral cancer, gum disease, TMJ problems, and signs of teeth grinding (also called bruxism). Depending on the results of your exam, we’ll lay out a treatment and prevention plan for you and help you decide on the right course of action for your smile. Based on your needs, we may be able to perform your teeth cleaning at that same appointment.
Besides checkups and cleanings, we also offer other types of general dentistry:
Non-Surgical Gum Disease Treatment – We may use traditional scaling and root planing, laser treatment, or antibiotics to help your gums heal.
